Bereavement & Loss
Listening Tree provide various models of support and training relating to bereavement, loss and trauma. Both Sally and Annie have a wealth of experience to draw from in this field and can provide direct support or indirect, supporting care providers and / or professionals.

Sometimes our natural reaction to death is not to talk about it which means the needs of grieving children and young people are not always addressed. This could be due to professionals having a fear of ‘doing harm’ or that they do not have the skills required for bereavement support.
Listening Tree can prepare, enable and empower professionals to provide bereavement support to the grieving child or young person. We aim to normalise the grieving process and to help professionals be able to understand and identify when grief is becoming complicated and a more therapeutic level of support is needed. It is recognised that this is emotionally demanding work therefore the emphasis is also on self-reflection and self-care.
