This year, Listening Tree is celebrating its 10th anniversary - and what a journey it’s been! When we started out a decade ago, we could hardly have imagined the many paths we would take, the incredible people we would meet, or the privilege of supporting so many schools, organisations, and businesses along the way.
We’re marking our anniversary with plenty of reflection (and maybe a few slices of cake), and over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be sharing updates, stories, and celebrations. Keep an eye on our blog and social media for more - we’re making it our mission to blog a lot more and give you a real insight into the work we do, and the people and organisations we’re fortunate to work with.
As we look back, we want to honour one of our founders, Annie Mann. Annie, alongside Sally Proctor, helped plant the seeds that have grown into Listening Tree. Annie’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering belief in the power of compassionate listening shaped everything we do. When Annie died, we felt the loss deeply - and yet, her spirit continues to guide our work every day. What Annie and Sally built lives on through all of us, in every conversation, workshop, and partnership.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share some new developments. We’ve recently added SEND Hub to our work - strengthening the ways we can support schools in meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. At the same time, our work in the corporate world continues to grow, helping businesses create supportive, healthy workplaces where people can thrive.
So, here’s to the next 10 years: more growth, more learning and more supporting. If you’d like to keep up with what we’re doing, please follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn or visit listeningtree.org.uk. We’ll be sharing more regular updates, insights, and stories - and we’d love to have you along for the next part of the journey.
